Wedding CakesThere are a number of options when it comes to wedding cakes - it may be a small chocolate cake for two or a traditional tiered wedding cake to share among guests or an amazing French 'crouchenbouche' creation. The resort and restaurant chefs are happy to prepare a cake (just need a bit of notice), the French patisserie Au Peche Mignon, makes stunning cakes (the name means 'the little sin/temptation') or for something different/personalised, we recommend cake artist, Judi Clelland. While each of Judi's cakes will be an individual design and quoted on that basis, here's a guide to Judi's prices - a miniature cake for the bride and groom can cost only AUD$40 - a small single tier cake (up to 10 servings) - AUD$150 - for 30 servings AUD$200 and so on. Prices include delivery of the cake and we recommend you book about six weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.
And in case you are wondering, chocolate mud cake is the most popular flavour for cakes in Vanuatu at the moment but you can also choose a traditional fruit cake, white chocolate or caramel mud cake, or lemon poppy seed cake.
